Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take commissions?

If there is a special object such as a beautiful leaf, seed or natural item that you would like preserved in copper then please get in touch and we will discuss potential options to create a stunning keepsake for you.  Also, if perhaps you got married on a beach or honeymooned somewhere near a beach and found a piece of seaglass or pottery whilst you were there again, please get in touch and will see if we can make something unique for you to remind you of your special time there. We also work with large hotels, country estates and golf courses where we create bespoke collections by collecting flora and fauna from each venues own gardens and land.

Do you only sell copper and seaglass jewellery?

Currently we make electroformed copper jewellery and seaglass and seapottery items.  Wire wrapped jewellery (seaglass and seapottery) are created using plated copper wire.  Sterling silver chains are typically used with all our seaglass pieces but will always be stated in each products description.  We like to be environmentally friendly and love using vintage chains for many items too.

What are your earwires made from?

We know how annoying it is to buy lovely earrings only to find that the ear wires or posts react with your ears and you have to stop wearing them.  We use a variety of inert (hypoallergenic) metals for our earrings.  These include Sterling Silver, Titanium, Niobium and Copper.  Each listing states what ear wire a piece has, if you would like a different option from the one stated then please get in touch before purchasing.

Are your items Hallmarked?

If an item is Hallmarked, this will be clearly specified in its product description.  It is a legal requirement that all Sterling and Fine silver items weighing over 7.78 grams are sent to an assay office to be Hallmarked.  Our chains and findings do not weigh over 7.78g so are not ever hallmarked.  Please don't confuse a '925' stamp with Hallmarking.  Unscrupulous retailers may claim an item is 'Hallmarked' when it only carries a '925' stamp - a mark which, in itself, is a guarantee of nothing.  All our chains and sterling silver findings (ear wires, bails, jump rings etc) are all bought from established bullion dealers and whilst not hallmarked due to their weight, are top quality sterling silver.

How are your items packaged?

All items are sent out in a gift box.  Postal packaging is a padded envelope, box or similar secure packaging depending on the size and type of jewellery you have ordered.  We can also gift wrap and send your purchase to an address different from the billing address, along with a gift message. We never send invoices/shipping notes with our items as it is a waste of paper!

Can I buy a pendant with a different size or style of chain?

All our pendants vary widely in how they are strung - choker, chain, rattail silk, leather cord, waxed cotton etc.  If you would prefer a chain or stringing material in a different size or design, please contact us before placing your order to discuss your preferences.  Please note that prices may vary for different chain styles and sizes.  We hold a small range of chains in 16", 18" and 20" chains as well as plated chokers in gold, copper and a range of beautiful vintage chains.

Can I change my order once I've submitted it?

If you've made a mistake with your order, or want to add another item to it, please email us on as soon as possible. We'll do our best to make any amendments if your order has not yet been despatched, but this may not always be possible.

Are your items really handmade by you?

Our items always start out as either natural pieces of flora or fauna or beachcombed seaglass or seapottery.  We then take these and with our own fair hands craft them into unique pieces of jewellery.  We do not make the chains the pendants or bracelets hang from as this would be too costly for the consumer.  We also use some jewellery findings - ear wires, posts, lobster claw clasps etc from other manufacturers so aren't made by hand by us.  All seaglass and seapottery jewellery is hand wrapped into a pendant or earring and the copper pieces go through ten or more stages in our workshop to turn it from being a raw material of a seed or leaf into a stunning one of a kind piece of art. Because we have picked every item by hand we can say where each piece was collected and when, this makes our jewellery traceable and unique!  The salmon and trout flies that we offer are made by my very talented Father-in-Law, who is an accomplished flytyer and fisherman.
