Crab Claw with gunmetal finish

£ 56.99 tax incl.

Beautiful unusual pendant which is made from a real clab claw which was found on the west coast of Scotland, near Arrochar on the banks of Loch Long.

The crab claw has been encased in copper and finished in a stunning gunmetal glossy patina which makes it look like it has been made from bronze.  It is approximately 2" long and is a real conversation piece!  It hangs from a black gloss metal 18 inch black rolo style chain with lobster claw clasp at the back.

We are a small artisan jewellery studio on the banks of a sea loch at the base of the Highlands of Scotland.  Every piece of jewellery is created from Scottish flotsam, jetsam, flora and fauna.

More info

Electroforming is a process of growing copper around an item.  It is an electrochemical procedure which can produce stunning effects, where no two pieces will ever turn out the same. Each item starts life as a real, living object it them goes through a process of sealing and making it conductive and then finally encasing it in copper.  The process takes several days and is a delicate, skilled process.

Whilst some of our other pieces are left to patina naturally this claw has been finished with a gun metal patina. It has an 18 inch glossy black toned rolo style decorative chain, however this can be changed to a different length if you so wish.

All our items are truly unique as you never find two pieces alike!
